Apple Iphone and Ipad to support Android apps
Looks like the war between android and iphone is really starting to get messy. After details of the new iphone features were leaked yesterday, Apple called a late night conference and released a bombshell.
The next iphone software version (iphone OS 4.1) will offer support for android applications! After the recently released figures showing that android market share was increasing at an exponential rate and that the android app store would surpass the iphone equivalent by October, Apple have dealt a knockout blow.
Their top bod, Stephen jobs said in an interview
"with devices like the HTC desire, Motorola Milestone and Google Nexus, which exceed the iphone hardware in every respect, we have to do what we do best and release better software."
Apple core development planner, Gary Lucy, further added that coming second was not an option. Allowing developers to use their android codebase on the iphone will give them access to a much larger audience as well as entrench the apple market at number one.
To celebrate the launch apple, will be releasing a new green iphone and ipad which have been made from 14% recycled sprite cans.
