Npower gets smart with android phones
NPOWER has become the first UK utility company to embrace android with the launch of its smart meter mobile application for Android. ![]()
Their app allows customers to enter their electric meter readings via their smartphones as well as enhances the N-power brand amongst its customers.
What is really great about the app is that N-power has extended its customer services to the mobile by giving customers easy access to frequently asked questions( with You-Tube videos!) and the all important emergency numbers. Navigation is really simple via a simple swipe, to move between options on the menu.
A really great touch is that n-power seems to have also take a leaf out of the godaddy.com android application and given customers mobile access to N-Power’s library of great advertisements featuring Wallace and Gromit( btw would love to see a “W and G” application for Android) as well as including a game with it as a bonus extra.
Here is the full list of advertised features:
Its really refreshing to see that in this day and age where advertisers are worried about “banner blindness” and “advert amnesia”, some companies are taking the next step by releasing mobile apps to make contact with customers on a more 1 to1 level and at the same time enhance their brand. N-Power is a great case study to show how YouTube + Mobile really can help your customers and really take your brand to the next level.
