Apple has come forward in their press conference yesterday (16.7.2010) and said with a jedi mindtrick-esque tone that “there is no problems with the antennas”  but has strangely subsequently promised free cases to all Iphone 4 users. This new strategy seems to follow what many retailers, including our friends at mobilefun have been doing for the past few weeks to alleviate the signal issues on the Iphone 4.

Mobilefun has announced that since Apple will be handing out free cases, they will cease to do so.

As such, and since we’ve given away almost five thousand free cases, we think it’s time for

us to bow out and let them take the lead.

Speaking from an android perspective I have spent many hours testing the Deathgrip on both Android and Blackberry phones, and can confirm that if you hold the phone with your palm covering the screen, it does in fact render the phone useless to use.  After this startling discovery there may be more legs in the deathgrip to come.
