App Details:

WaveSecure is a mobile security app that protects your phone, data & privacy.
The 7-day trial lets you:
+ Find your phone from a PC or phone
+ Auto backup data/SMS & restore them
+ Lock & wipe data remotely
+ Now with uninstall protection

Our Review:

Wavesecure protects your data in a very simple easy way that allows you to remotely wipe and lock your phone in case of theft, as well as providing the GPS location. You may not use Wavesecure frequently, but if you need to use it,it could save you having to fork out for a new phone. This app will let you use  GPS coordinates to you can find your phone and if lost or report it to the police and you can stop unwanted eyes from prying on your data. Also it conveniently backs up your data to help you restore it after you wipe it.

Are they still hiding the fact that all notification texts are international and can add up?

I Prefer Track and Protect. You get what you pay for: more pro features such as remote camera control, call back option and above all: works even after sim change.

Unfortunately WaveSecure makes it far too easy to wipe your phone locally – tap the wipe button, hit OK by mistake, and all your data is gone…

Also, it doesn’t have a usable PIN lock feature. Still waiting for a simple application that locks the screen after a configurable delay and replaces the annoying pattern lock (which is insecure due to the ‘trail of finger grease’ attack) with a simple PIN.
